Track what your family owns

Record the books and curriculum already on your shelves, so you never buy the same thing twice.

Your family library is a record of what you already own. Check it before you shop — especially handy when a younger child reaches a book an older one finished years ago.

Add something you own

  1. Open the resource on Toka.

  2. Click I own this.

Marking a booklist item as Have also offers to add it here, straight from your shopping lists.

Record its condition and notes

Open Family library and click Edit library details on an item. You can set:

  • Condition — from New to Acceptable.

  • Notes — "missing answer key", "written in", whatever you'll want to remember.

Click Save when you're done. To take something off the list, click Remove from library.

Who can see it?

The library belongs to the whole family. Everyone who is a parent on your account sees and updates the same shelf. It isn't shown to anyone outside your family.

Share how it went

Items on your shelf may show a gentle nudge: Used it? Share your experience. Click Write a review to write a review, or Haven't used it yet and Toka asks again in about a month.
