English Epic Poetry

English Epic Poetry is a Copper Lodge Library anthology (2024) gathering three landmarks of early English verse: the General Prologue and Knight's Tale from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, and Book 1 of Milton's Paradise Lost. Challenge II reads it at the start of the Exposition strand's survey of British literature, so those three works are studied within this volume rather than as standalone books.
