Fossils and Rock Layers - Earth History

Fossils are absolutely amazing to find and learn about - but what do they actually tell us about the history of the earth? Well, a lot! Everything in Earth's rock layers can tell us about events of the past, environments, animals, plants, catastrophic events like volcanoes.... Plus the law of superposition can help tell us WHEN all this happened. Who knew you could get so much from some plain old rocks? Grab your budding geologist and we'll tell you all about it.
