Extra jobs are one-off tasks beyond the usual chores — washing the car, clearing the garage. Children choose to take them on, so they're a way to earn rather than one more thing on the list.
Turn extra jobs on
Open Odd jobs from the planner and switch on Let the family take on paid extra jobs. They start switched off, so nothing appears for your children before you're ready.
Post a job
Select Post an extra job.
Fill in What needs doing, and anything useful under Any details.
Set a Cash reward, a Points reward, or both.
Choose Who can take it, Roughly how long and How it's marked done.
Set Up for grabs until, or leave it at No deadline.
Every job needs a reward — cash, points or both — or it can't be posted.
When a child takes one
The job shows who took it on, and it's gone from the board for everyone else. When they finish, their proof comes to Waiting on you like any task.
Approve it and the reward is theirs. Cash is added to what you owe them on the Family store page.
Put it back on the board with Give it back, if it isn't going to happen.
Take it down altogether with Withdraw.
A job someone has already started asks you to confirm before it's withdrawn.
