Share or back up memory work

Download a category of memory work as a file, and import one another family has shared with you.

A whole category of memory work can travel as one file. Keep a backup, or hand a year's worth of passages to another family in your co-op.

Download a copy

Select Download a copy beside a category's name on the memory-work list, or in Categories. The file saves to your computer.

It holds the whole category: every title, passage, set of facts and quiz question.

  • Assignments stay behind. The file never names your children, so it's safe to send on.

  • Items with no category can't be downloaded until you give them one.

Import a file

  1. Select Import a file on the memory-work list.

  2. Choose the file under Choose a Toka memory-work file.

  3. Read the summary — nothing is added yet. It shows what will be added, and what is already here and will be skipped.

  4. If you already have a category with the same name, choose Add to the one I have or Make a separate one.

  5. Select the import button to add the items.

An item already on that shelf with the same title is skipped, so importing the same file twice never makes doubles.

If a file won't import

The import lists each item it can't take, and why — a passage with no text, say, or a quiz question with no correct answer. Fix the file, or ask whoever sent it for a fresh copy, then try again.
