Reset a forgotten password

Get a reset code by email and choose a new password, which also signs you out everywhere else.

Forgotten your password? A code sent to your email lets you choose a new one in a couple of minutes.

Ask for a reset code

  1. On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?.

  2. Type Your email and click Email me a reset code.

  3. When the email arrives, click Enter the code.

The code is good for ten minutes, so have your inbox open before you ask for it.

Choose a new password

The next page already has your email address filled in.

  1. Type the six digits into Reset code.

  2. Type your New password. The form shows what it needs as you type.

  3. Click Update password.

You are signed in straight away. Click Continue to carry on.

What happens on my other devices?

A new password signs you out everywhere else, on every other computer and phone. That way, anyone who knew your old password loses access too.

Sign in again on each device with the new password.

The reset email has not arrived

The form replies the same way whether or not an address has an account. That way, nobody can use it to find out who is on Toka. That also means a typo gets no warning.

  • Check spam, then check the address you typed.

  • Code rejected? It may have expired or been used already. Ask for a new one.

  • Never finished signing up? An account is only created once its email code is entered, so sign up again.
