Reviews from around the web

Read what trusted review sites say about a resource, and vote on which links help most.

Many resources carry links to in-depth reviews written elsewhere. They sit in Reviews from around the web, just above the reviews from Toka families.

Where the links come from

Moderators choose every link, usually from well-known review sites. Each one shows the article's title, the site it's on and a short summary. Clicking the title opens the review in a new tab, so your place on Toka stays put.

A resource with no links simply doesn't show the section.

Vote on a link

Beside each link are thumbs-up and thumbs-down buttons. Use them to say whether that review helped you decide.

  • Changing your mind — click the other thumb.

  • Taking a vote back — click the same thumb again.

  • One vote per account — you need to be signed in, and Toka offers to sign you in if you aren't.

Why the order changes

Helpful links rise to the top, based on everyone's votes. A newly added link gets a short turn near the top so it has a fair chance to be seen.
