Trim a video so students see only the part that teaches. Nothing is cut from the video itself — the player plays only your chosen part.
Open the trim page
On the lesson page, find the video block and click Trim video. The trim tools open on a page of their own, so a stray click can't close them mid-edit.
Set the start and end
Drag the two trim handles under the preview to where the video should start and stop.
Or type exact times into Starts at and Ends at, as m:ss.
Play the preview to check both edges.
Skip a part in the middle
A cut skips a stretch inside the trim — an ad read, or a moment that isn't right for your students.
Play or scrub to where the cut should begin.
Click Cut from here.
Move to where it should end and click …to here.
Each cut is listed with Preview and Remove buttons.
Save or start over
Save with Save trim. You return to the course with a note that it saved.
Start over with Clear trim, then save, so the whole video plays again.
Leave without saving with Cancel.
