Toka plays videos from YouTube, Vimeo and similar sites right on the page. You can watch one at a time, or let a whole topic play through while your child listens along.
Watch a resource's videos
A resource with videos has a Videos section. Click a video to open it on its own page, and click the link under the row to see every video at once.
Under the player you will find:
Previous video and Next video to move through this resource's videos.
Replay 10 seconds and Forward 10 seconds to skip a little.
Turn on captions and Full screen.
Below the player, More videos for this resource lists the rest.
When a video ends
The end screen offers a next step. Click Watch again, or Back to resource to return to the resource page.
It also invites you to review the video. Reviews need a free account.
Play every video in a subject
A subject page with videos shows a play-all link under its search box. Click it to open a full-width player that works through every video in that subject:
The first video starts on its own, then each one follows the last.
Click any video in the list to jump straight to it.
Click Open this video's page to read more about the one playing.
After the last video, it goes back to the first. If you had the subcategories folded in on the subject page, they play too.
Mix up the order
Click Shuffle to play the rest in a random order. The video already playing stays where it is, and the list beside the player shows the new order.
Click it again to go back to the usual order.
Why are only some videos playing?
Your level filter applies here too: with a level chosen in the header, the player only plays videos suited to it. If nothing fits, click Play all levels. To change the level itself, see choose a level.
Why is there no sound?
Some browsers will not start a video with sound on until you have clicked something. The player starts muted instead and shows Turn on sound. Click it to hear the video.
