Add a video to a resource

Suggest a YouTube or Vimeo video — an audiobook, a review, a read-aloud — for a book or course.

Know a great read-aloud or a helpful walkthrough for something on Toka? Add it to that resource, and other families can watch it right from the resource's page.

Suggest a video

The dashed "add" card sits at the end of a resource's videos. You'll find it in the row on its page and in the grid of all its videos.

  1. Open the resource and find Add a video at the end of its videos.

  2. Paste the link into YouTube or Vimeo URL.

  3. Choose a Type, such as Supplemental or Review.

  4. Add the Language (optional) if it isn't in English.

  5. Click Add video.

You need to be signed in; if you aren't, Toka offers to sign you in first.

Which videos can I add?

  • YouTube or Vimeo only, as a full link starting with https://.

  • One video at a time — a playlist link is refused, so paste the single video you mean.

  • Audiobook types for books — Full audiobook and Summary appear only when the resource is a book.

When does it show up?

A moderator watches every suggestion before it appears on the page, since these pages are open to children. You'll see a short thank-you message once it's sent, and the video joins the list when it's approved.
