Add a practice quiz to a passage

Write a few multiple-choice questions about a passage for a relaxed check of what's sticking.

A passage can carry its own short quiz: a few multiple-choice questions you write yourself. It's practice, not a test — nothing is scored or saved.

Write the quiz

  1. Open the passage with Practise.

  2. Under Quiz, select Add a quiz.

  3. Select Add question and type the question.

  4. Fill in the options and mark the correct one. Use Add option for more.

  5. Add an explanation if you like. It appears after answering, which is a gentle way to teach from a wrong guess.

  6. Repeat for each question, then select Save quiz.

Change it later with Edit quiz. You can reorder or remove questions there too.

Take the quiz

The quiz sits on the passage's page, below the drills. Work through it together: choose an answer, then Next, and Submit at the end.

Afterwards, Review answers shows each question with the right answer beside it.

Good to know

  • Passages only. A set of facts has no quiz.

  • Not a task check. This quiz never verifies a planner task — that's a separate kind of quiz.
