The day page is one child's list for one date. Here you add tasks, put them in the order you want them done, and check what has been finished.
Open the right day
From the planner, select a day in the week strip or a child's Plan today link.
Pick the child from the tabs at the top when you have more than one.
Change the date with Previous day, Next day or Jump to date.
Add a task
Type a short title in Add a task — "Reading lesson 12", say.
Press
Enter, or select Add task at the end of the field. To link a book or video from the library, select Attach a resource first and search for it. Its title fills in for you.
To assign a lesson from one of the child's courses, select Add a course lesson and choose it from Course lesson. The course and lesson names fill in as the title.
A lesson task opens the lesson. Your child selects Lesson on the task to start it. Only lessons from published courses your child is enrolled in are offered.
New tasks go to the bottom of the list, ready to move.
Reorder tasks
Your order is the child's order — they see the list exactly as you arrange it.
With a mouse, drag the dotted grip at the left of a task up or down.
With a keyboard, move to the grip, press
Spaceto pick the task up, use the arrow keys, then pressSpaceagain to drop it.Escputs it back.
If a new order can't be saved, the list returns to the last saved order so you never see a false picture.
Add details and settings
Select the pencil icon on a task to open its settings:
Title and Subject.
Details — what to actually do, like the pages or problems to cover.
Type: School or Chore.
Due time and Estimated minutes.
Points, if your family uses the store.
Verification — how you'll know it's done. See what each method means.
Repeats, to make it repeat.
Select Save when you are finished. Details are kept with the task, so later changes elsewhere never rewrite a task your child has already done.
Mark tasks done and review them
Tick the box on a task with no checking step.
A task that needs checking shows Needs review once your child submits it. Select it to see their work, then choose Approve or Reject.
Delete a task with the bin icon. Undo appears for a moment in case you change your mind.
