See everyone's chores for a day

One page with each person's chores for a day, who's off or out, and who's helping whom.

The chore list shows each chore and who has it. To see it the other way round, with everyone's chores for one day, select By day on the chore list.

Move between days with Previous day and Next day. Today brings you back.

What each card shows

There's a card for everyone who takes chores, grown-ups included, with their chores in the order they're due.

  • Meals. A chore that follows a meal says which one, like washing up after breakfast.

  • Helpers. A chore with a helper is on both cards. The helper's card says whose chore they're helping with.

  • Covering. When someone's chore has gone to someone else for the day, it's on the new person's card, with who they're covering for.

  • Moved chores. Sometimes a chore moves off its usual day, for example because of a day off. It shows on its new day, with the day it came from.

  • Progress. Finished chores are crossed out. Waiting for you to check means a child has finished one and it needs your check. On days that have passed, a child's chore left undone is marked Not done.

  • Overdue marks one of today's chores whose time has passed and that isn't done yet, going by your family's clock.

Tick off a grown-up's chores

Grown-ups' chores have Mark done beside them, today and on days that have passed. Select it when the chore's done, or Undo to take it back. Nobody checks a grown-up's chores, so a past one that wasn't ticked off isn't marked Not done.

A child's card links to their own day, where you can check and approve their chores.

Days off and times out

  • Day off shows on someone's day off. If they still have chores that day, the card says how many, so you can move them. Their own chores, like making their bed, aren't counted, because those stay on a day off.

  • Home hours show for anyone you've given set times at home in When everyone's home.

  • Regular times out, like a co-op day or a club night, show with their times.

  • An approved absence shows that they're away, with the times if it's only part of the day. On a day someone is away all day, their usual hours and times out aren't shown.

  • Not home then marks a chore that's still to do but falls when its person isn't home. To change who does it or when, edit it on the chore list.

What the page doesn't change

This page shows each person's list for the day, after meals eaten out, part-of-year chores and absences have been taken into account. To change who does a chore or when, edit it on the chore list.

Days further ahead

Chores are added to everyone's lists a couple of weeks ahead. Further out, the cards are empty and the page says so. That doesn't mean nobody has chores that day, only that they haven't been added yet.
